Hey y’all! I’m always amazed by the awesome, and sometimes not so awesome, items that the Japanese people can get from their Western fast food joints. This one is no exception.
For their 5th anniversary of their return to Japan, on September 28, 2012, Burger King Japan is going to sell what they are calling the Premium KURO Burger (黒バーガー), or for those confused, the “Black” Burger. Take a gander.
*lol* A Whopper with a black bun instead of a regular bun. I can’t say that this is one of those items that makes me go, “Mmmm, I want to try that for sure.” ^_^; What about you? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this new burger. ^_^
For those who wakata Japanese, BK Japan has a press release on the new KURO Burger. I’m hoping my favorite Japanese burger reviewer, Palog, samples this. ^_^
Special shout out to Tokyo5 for the initial report I saw on this. ^_^
Looks like the Darth Vader Burger (or Darth Vador in this case): http://www.theurbanshogun.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/star-wars-burgers.jpg
Heh. It does indeed.
This time it’s off-topic:
Trailer for Jormungand 2: http://www.subs.animesenshi.com/jormungand-perfect-order-pv/
P.S. Just finished watching Planetes. There are some similarities to Moonlight Mile (deep and serious story, actual physics, sci-fi). But unlike Moonlight Mile, this one is finished and the manga is fully translated. In short: ANB, add it to your list, please… and to remind you about Level-E… 🙂
HA! This time, I’m way, WAY ahead of you, sir. ^_~

As an aside, I LOATHE Blogger’s new UI. *_*
Perfect! Now you can watch the two seasons of “Moonlight Mile” and compare it with Planetes. 😀 😉
And then watch Level-E. After that, probably, will come time to watch Jormungand 2 (around October 10th, so you have time).
Time? *lol* Not so much when you work 60 to 72 hours a week for the last six weeks. ^_^; It may slow down next month, and if I get furloughed in the next quarter, I’ll have time for sure.
Actually, my priorities are shifting at the moment. I’ve got to put a lot of work into getting the new FAQ online ASAP, then work on blog migrations, which may be quite the pain in the arse. ^_^;
*lol* Lots of overtime! You have my condolence. I hope you love your job – at least it’ll make it less painful.
P.S. The general rule is that migrations are ALWAYS pain in the arse. And painkillers don’t help much. 🙁
Don’t really love my job. The work is OK for the most part (though the Indians can quickly get on one’s nerves), but the situation sucks. Still, in this current suck economy, I’m thankful to have a job.
>P.S. The general rule is that migrations are ALWAYS pain in the arse. And painkillers don’t help much. 🙁
*lol* Yeah, I know. But, I have been reading up on things and I do plan to migrate my small blog first. After that, it will be the FUN blog. ^_^;
lol, doesn’t look too appetizing but I’d still try it if I had the chance.
I’m wondering what kind of bun that is.
Completely black bun. I saw some pics in Google Images. I guess it’s some kind of dye for food.
They aren’t the only ones who’ve done black buns, apparently.
hmmm only if i’d die otherwise
The bun kinda looks like burnt polyurtherne from this angle…
*LOL* Yeah, it does. *lol*
